Google TV is updated
Little by little we are seeing in the distance the outline of what will be the future of television, and television of the future will be so integrated into the web it will be very difficult to appreciate their differences. Toward that end road at the moment tends Google TV , the product of Mountain View destined to conquer the screens of our classrooms. Last year was when they started this adventure with many initial doubts and some critical than another, but are now preparing to bring the product to the next level with the update that will start next week with Sony TVs with the built product, later moving to others.
In Google have announced a thorough review of the TV software that controls within it. Now come to Android version 3.1 known as Honeycomb and changed key aspects of its operation to make it more friendly to use in the classroom. First, it has changed the service startup screen of Google TV, now shows the most used apps first, but these bookmarks can be modified at will or even can see all the apps installed in a grid style as occurs on a device Android .
Searches have been improved too, now with this update is much easier to find specific content through a multitude of cable channels and streaming content. Just simply enter the series or movie to watch and will automatically appear where you can view. With a new application called TV & Movies can search from 80,000 movies and TV episodes via cable or satellite channels, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, and elsewhere. This section also has a built-learning recommendation system based on our previous preferences to suggest possible future viewings.
Finally there are two important aspects to mention. On one side it has better integrated YouTube on your TV that supports Google TV, now the quality content of the website is accessed more quickly and easily, but also allowed to create channels based on keywords lest we lose the best videos of a particular topic. We ended our tour with what may be the best asset of the above, the arrival of Google Android Market to TV, allowing specific apps development for television and that currently includes 50 dedicated applications and waiting for the library gradually increase the contributions of others.
Ultimately we are talking about a significant update on Google TV, a move that will surely boost urgent idea a little more. Now we just have to wait for TV manufacturers to convince them this new direction. The future of television is a little closer.
